grypes · RUTGERS EDITION
Rutgers gives you plenty to grype about.
Now there's a place for it. Share what drives you crazy, relate to other students, and laugh through the chaos.

Sound familiar? The bus that's never coming. The 8 AM class that shouldn't exist. The parking situation nobody can explain. Everybody has a grype. Rutgers has a few extra.

Privacy
Your grypes stay in Rutgers. Only verified Rutgers community members can view Rutgers posts. They're not published in the public Grypes feed, public search results, or social previews. You post under an anonymous display name, not your school email. Grypes still stores account information, and other members could screenshot what they see. Keep identifying details out of your posts.
Be a Founding Gryper.
Get recognized for helping build the Rutgers community from the beginning. Early members who genuinely participate can earn a Founding Gryper badge.
FAQ
Is Grypes actually anonymous?
To other members, yes. You post under an anonymous display name and nobody in the community sees your email or real name. Grypes does store account information to run the service, and we never promise absolute anonymity. Other members can also screenshot what they see, so keep names and identifying details out of your posts.
Can people outside Rutgers read my grypes?
No. Rutgers posts are visible only to verified members of the Rutgers community. They never appear in the public Grypes feed, in search results, or in social media previews.
Do I have to use my Rutgers email?
Only to verify. You can create your Grypes account with any email. Unlocking the Rutgers community takes one extra step: confirming you have a Rutgers email address (ScarletMail). That address is never displayed to other members.
Can I just read without posting?
Of course. Plenty of members mostly read, Relate, and vote in polls. Post whenever you are ready, or never. Your call.
Is Grypes run by Rutgers?
No. Grypes is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Rutgers University.
What's a Founding Gryper?
Founding Grypers are the early Rutgers members who help build the community from the start. Members who join during the founding period and genuinely participate earn the badge. It is recognition, not a paid perk, and it does not come with moderation powers.
